Lomond Masters have the use of three swimming pools in the vicinity of Loch Lomond which means there should be a pool near you.
We also arrange the use of the 50m pool in Stirling once a month and travel through as a club to partake in a 2 hour coached session in the Olympic size pool.
The club offers a combination of coached club sessions and informal get-together sessions and all levels of swimming are welcome.
We have club members who have swam all their lives, some who have got into swimming after many years break and some who have just learnt. Some want to improve their technique, some want to get faster, some want to learn a new stroke, some who want to get fit and some who come along for the craic – whatever your needs Lomond Masters will have something for you.
The first part of all triathlons is the swimming with some held in pools, but many in open water. Getting the knack of open water swimming might seem easy but it is definitely worth getting into the water before your race. Although our open water sessions are not coached there are plenty of people on hand to offer advice and support, and you will never be left on your own. Loch Lomond provides us with very enviable open water swimming possibilities – and it's not that cold! We have people on hand who can advise on wetsuits and other pieces to keep you warm and safe in the water.
